This spectacular trail is the longest hike we offer, it begins in Serra Malagueta Natural Park and descends into the lush valley of Chacha. Enjoy impressive views and a variety of scenery! Finish your hike with a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant in Ribeira Principal. The valley of Gon-Gon is named by the Bird Gongon (pterodroma feae): a rare species of birds only existing in Cape Verde and Madeira.
During the rainy season, this hike may be unavailable due to changes in the trail conditions.
